According to Wikipedia a blog or weblog is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Find Your Niche
You should find a niche market before you start a blog or website.
The following factors you should consider when researching your niche.
Things you enjoy doing for example: painting, music, doing crosswords, swimming, reding books etc.
Special skills for example: accounting, cooking, foreign language etc.
Choose Blog Hosts
You can start with free blog hosts such as Blogger.com or WordPress.com.
All you need to sign up for a free blog is email address. You will need to name your blog, pick the blog theme you like and then you can start your posts.
